Animal pen extension mod

When adding the water pipe with valve does it take time after placing before you can use it.
I watched a video showing where to place it and placed mine the same way but when I went to the valve it wouldn't give me the prompt to turn it to fill up the trough.

Make sure you have confirn the placement then walk up to it again and should get the prompt.

Depends on if the pens/map is prepared for it or not.
If it's prepared, there will be a construction time to the system.

So if I place it on lazy acres, bucks County, or lone oak I can't turn the valve right away I just need to give it some time and then it should work

If the pens are pre-built into the map, and you already see the valve and pipe. Then you'll need to go over to place them, don't forget to confirm placement afterwards. If they are the base game animal pens, then you will have to select them for construction. In which the construction will start first thing the following morning. Somewhere's between 6am and 8am, once the construction has started... it will take roughly 8 or so hours for them to be built.
