[FS22] Warning: Device removed! DXGI_ERROR code: 0x887A0006

I was just browsing the store for a windrower and once I came to Kongskilde I got this error... game froze over, had to tab out and kill it.
Tried it again with the same save game and got it again in windrowers once Kongskilde appeared.

Warning: Device removed! DXGI_ERROR code: 0x887A0006

No device was removed as only my mouse is attached...
Anyone any idea what this might be?

The game crashed after that. I am now playing on 5 MIN auto save making sure it saves often!
Tried to repeat it, going to the same point on the map, looking around, but it never crashes then... it's always random after driving either a car or a lorry!

the game looks for something that you have modified or badly deleted or some mod inserted that does not work look in the game log where the error is. but if you want to reload a situation through the cache it does not recreate the situation if something is different from a previous situation because the cache updates automatically

I have the same problem, coincidentally occurs after windows update. I momentarily resolved it by switching to DX11 in the game.xml file.

The game was crashing for me after just a minute or two. The longest I was able to play was maybe four minutes before I tried modifying the game.xml file.

I am playing on a PC using XBOX Game Pass.

This is how I did it:

- Go to Documents > My Games > FarmingSimulator2022
- Open the game.xml file with Notepad
- Find the line that contains "<renderer>D3D_12</renderer>"
- Change "D3D_12" to "D3D_11"
- Save the file
