Large Stones vs Harvester
I just bought a field riddled with large stones, but the crop will be ready to harvest next month. Has anyone figured out what the damage will be to a harvester per ha or anything if I harvest it with my own equipment?

Re: Large Stones vs Harvester
Use the Console cheat and get rid of the stones
Re: Large Stones vs Harvester
or buy a stone picker and remove them?
Re: Large Stones vs Harvester
Stone picker won't work after seeding

On PC
Edit the files to add the Dev console
Add cheat in either the shortcut or if in Steam (Properties of FS22, Launch Options as below)
-cheats -restart
Start the game
Open the console by pressing ` twice so it's in edit mode, type after hash # like this
# gsStoneSystemSetState 27 none
Example command above clears field 27 but you will not get stones on there again, ever. May be reversible, not tried.
Articles on Stones in this forum give more details on the subject....

I don't use cheats, unless I'm setting up my initial farm for money. I was just curious if anyone has done this yet lol

I'm in planting season. If I see the chance, I'll do it for science...Or maybe just do it yourself, and have what you think is an acceptable repair bill before your start (you are getting a free harvest out of it which should more than pay for that bill). If the bill is too insane, cheat some money in to compensate - lessons learned shouldn't be horribly expensive, but have some cost.
Re: Large Stones vs Harvester
I did this once and hardly noticed a problem. I think it reduces yield slightly? If your machine is fixed as new before you start, should be minimal on costs.
AFAIK you won't get a great harvest anyway. Just consider it covering future running costs, then carry on (you bought a field with some free money).
