Does the game run any better on 11 than 10?
Thinking of updating but not sure if it's worth it.
My specs:
Alienware Area 51M R2 laptop
I9 10900k @ 3.7Ghz turbos up to 5.6
RTX 2080 Super 8gb
128gb Ram 2933Mhz
4TB SSD

Hi, I have been running windows 11 for about 6 months. I unlocked FPS in FS22 and average about 120-130 FPS @1440. Playing on a modded elm creek map with many mods.

32 GB memmory
2070 super

Did you do an upgrade or fresh install?

I'm running fs22 on a rtx2060, i5 9300H laptop.
Played on w10, then upgraded that to w11, then made a fresh install of w11 for different reasons.
Didn't see any performance differences between them.
Even did benchmarks with 3dMark and some other programs, no difference.

Fresh install always.

Wanted to throw this in there. I had a stutter when playing the game. After some thinking I rememberd a game I test did the same thing. The cpu/gpu was throttling. After I unlocked the game FPS it was slippery smooth.

I think windows 11 requires bitlocker encryption of your data on disk, which adds a CPU cost, but where people now should have hardware support for the encryption so the difference should not be much at all. Haven't tested out windows 11 myself yet, but from the published changes, I see no reason why the game should run slower on win11.

(WIN 11) GTX 3080 / AMD 5900X / 64G 3600 DDR4 / 2G PCIE4 NVME

Runs everything on max at 3440x1440 and use Nvidia in game filters to improve the colour / look of the shaders, no stutters or performance issues to mention.

I use Nvidia's filters to tone the colors down a little as well. The game itself seems too bright for me, just my opinion.

Game runs the same. With a fresh install you have some added security functions you may or may not have in Windows 10. But these are only CPU limiting with a few %, but FS22 can run on a potato so it has no impact.
