Is there a way to save the game between 2 people who started a farm together?

Will be nice that when one of us is offline the other can go on with the farm. But for now it dont seem it is possible

This is essentially what dedicated servers are for, but you would need to rent one or buy another copy of the game. Another way is for you both to automatically synchronise your local savegame files with some cloud file sharing service e.g. dropbox, google docs, etc.
