Objects rotate wildly when picked up

How can I stop pallets, bales, & logs from revolving out of control when picked up? This has always been a problem for me (including FS19). I can affect it by pressing my center mouse (scroll) wheel and moving left/right, but the object resumes rotating when the button is released.
I've experimented with disabling all mods, but it has not helped. Have also tried changing Device settings under "Options" in the startup menu. Again, no success.
Playing on an Alienware Aurora R12 with the Logitech Heavy Equipment Bundle installed. Windows 11.
