Network question

having trouble with me and my wife playing together and i think ive narrowed it down to a network problem and found the exact problem. via "icanhazip.com" both our comps have the same outbound ip. Is there anyway for us to fix this so we can play together? Also why is this a problem for Farming sim since we can both play any other steam game together? for those wondering how I came to this conclusion i have another post on the forum from July 17th titled "stuck on 10%"
