I did find that maxMass is the combined weight of the components+wheels+crop. How do you find the weight of the wheels since there is nothing posted in the wheel entries. You would think the wheel weight would be part of the component weight.

Is KG used for maxMass?

There is a mass in tires xml, it that what you want?

Yes, wheel mass can be found in the respective tire xml as Dogface already mentioned.
And yes, kg is used as unit for all masses in FS.
