Is there any way to create a custom setup where we could have kids come in and use farm sim for say, 5 minutes, than it resets to the base start. So they could hop on, click the only option, harvest a field of crops, and then it resets?

If I am understanding you correctly, all you would need to do is turn off autosave. Then you wont overwrite the initial set up and the game will always start in the same place. Kids being kids you will need to watch they dont do their own saves. The game being heavily xml based is wide open for enterprising young minds if you are playing on PC.

This is basically what I want to happen, but I would like the game restart to happen every 5 minutes and eliminate the possibility for saving and other options.
