Run in sleep mode?

Before I left for work, I thought I saved and quit to desktop but I didn't and so I put the computer in sleep mode and when I got home, I woke the computer from sleep and the game was still running but I didn't pay attention to any of the ingame stats field growth/animal conditions progress

so I'm wondering, does the game still run while the computer is in sleep?

I don't know the answer, but it seems like it would be a simple test for you to perform. If you find out then let us know.

It shouldn't be possible. As the game is a local application on your PC and not running on a cloud or a dedicated server it should have stopped as the PC is in sleep mode.

It happens in any game, when in sleep mode, it just pauses the pc from any action, sleep mode is used if you want to work straight away

As I often use sleep mode on my desktop, the game is being put on pauze for the duration your pc/laptop or console is in sleep mode. No time advances, no growth. It's basically the same as hitting the Pauze within the game itself.
