xbox game pass and steam

my wife has farm sim 22 on xbox game pass. i have it on steam i got her the plat edition so we can play. when i try to load a server on my end and she tries to join it only stays on 10% loading an nothing happens. when she tries to make a server i cant even find it it will not show up at all. i cant find any fix for this or is there any fix for that. we also took all off to see if that was it an same thing happens
