Milestone Met (100 hrs on first tractor)

Post by JDMFarms »

I bought the game just a month ago and have been playing with the two original tractors given to new farmer mode and just hit 100 hrs on one of them today.

how many hours do you put on before trading in? whats the most youve logged on one tractor in game?

Edit don_apple: topic moved from "Community Corner" to "General Discussion" ("Community Corner" is intended for sharing pictures and videos of the game with the community).

I have played fs since 09 so I´m not 100% sure how much I have drove in past, but in FS22 my most driven tractor is Ford 6600 (80hp) with 52 hours. If different savegames would count, I have drove easily +200 hours with same tractor.

On FS19, on my Welker save, I had a 4955 with almost 2500hrs. On the same save, my wife had a 8960 with nearly 1200.

I played FS13/17/19 but have yet kept a tractor this long. What causes you to switch save games? Get bored or just play a variety of maps at any given time?

2500?!?!?!? That's impressive. That's a lot of hours on one map/savegame. What's the most hours you have invested into a map? which map?

Welker Farms by far, 5251 hours on FS17, 6112 hours on FS19.
On FS19 we had 2498 hours on a 4955 (driven entirely by me, 1560 hours on a 9600 combine, 1196 on a 8960 (driven entirely by my wife) a 4755, another 4955, a 4440, 8410 and 9400 combine with almost 1000 hours (driven by the rest of the family)

My wife on FS19, as accurately as possible, recreated my grandparents farm using Google Earth, satellite and aerial photos.

We have played some on FS22 Welker but can't get the same feeling back, so it's just not the same.

That's really awesome. is Welker Farms the one based on your grandparents farm or another? Its great your wife is a map maker. I loved making maps in FS13 and 17. I love the face we have ingame landscaping now but still have to have GE edits for real transformations to match a certain environment and decor.

We're on console so we don't get to use GE lol
Welker has large fields similar to our area, and all the starting buildings can be removed, then the terrain reshaped and grass, weeds, trees and everything else can added in thanks to plenty of decor mods.

I've done quite a bit of my own with the provided terrain tools, but not as close as possible recreations. My wife can look at Birdseye pictures and work everything almost perfectly into place, and has the patience to do so. To the point it gives me goosebumps on the first walk through.

Most of our old yard is still there, even if the barn, shop and my grandparents house have collapsed, enough of its still there to get scale and distance references, which my wife did last year when we pulled my granddad's 4430 out to take it to my shop, so the next version of the farm will be even closer to what I grew up with.

I dunno about others, but if someone could figure out my psychological issues with jumping maps I'm all ears

Hahaha. thats funny. ADHD maybe? Probably either shear bordom quickly sets in or new shiny toy to check out and play with.

Hard lean on "new shiny toy" theory lol

Well, I like to play with small and old equipment and when there is enough hours in one save game, my farm has grown too big and it´s not anymore enjoyable to play with small equipment. That is propably the reason. Also modders are making maps constantly and new, possibly better maps are coming in. My largest tractor I have been ever used had 180hp, normally I use tractors witch have about 70-100hp. I´m not using helpers either, I do everything by myself and if plowing takes more than 20 hours per autumn, that´s too much for me. :biggrin2: I also play other games too, and I have only 700 hours totally in FS22, and propably at least 1/3 of them have came from testing mods.
