Wonky wood chip prices

So, I noticed some of my saves have weird pricing on wood chips, mod and base game maps. I always use normal economy with all the same mods on each map. I’m seeing high prices on some maps, upwards of 900 per 1k liters. And on one map my current sale price was exceeding the historic high by 200 per 1k/liter, but the high price was not updating and it wasn’t a high demand price. And some other maps the sale price is more…well, normal similar to sugar beets.

All the other products were selling within 20-30 per 1k liters across all the maps.

There are two ways the modder can adjust sell prices on his map.
He can adjust the base sell price and adjust it in each selling station using a scaling factor.

So yes, different maps can have very different prices for each crop/product.

So, how does that explain Elmcreek, Silverrun on PS5 being different than PS4? I did mention base game maps were also wonky.

So is the highest Price happening on Silverrun only?
Most likely they adjusted the price for woodchips on this map only.

I believe some of the sell point mods are changing the price of wood chips. Had this happen to me on a map me and a buddy were playing simultaneously.

High prices on every map saved I have except No Mans Land and Western Wilds. (I checked them all.) Those maps are both around sugar beet prices. And those maps have all the same mods as every other map. I’m seeing woodchip high prices over 950 per 1k liters on every base game map, The Old Stream Farm, Westbridge Hills 22, and others.

Yeah. Nomansland and Western Wilds use their own fillTypes.xml. It is an older, pre-Platinum file.
With the Platinum patch (base game version 1.8 ?) Giants increased base price for wood chips from 80 to 320 per 1000L.
All basegame and many other maps just point to the default file.

Price change is happening regardless if you own Platinum expansion or not.

All right, there’s an answer. It was changed. Makes wood chips a real option in peak months.
