[PC] Strange game behavior after update - I can't write the real name of this bug

After the update the game (1.9) is behaving strangely. I start the game, load any save game and the game works normally. I save the game and exit that saved game, reload that saved game and it comes up like the picture I'm attaching.

When I go to the game menu, it looks like this.

I also have this issue sadly i have no idea why it's happening, I can close the game out and restart it and it will usually fix it until i close it out again, I have reinstalled it and verified the files the only thing i haven't done is try disabling all the mods i have, And then see if it reappeared at some point again and try to narrow down the mod if it's that. This has just started with the update for me.

System for reference.
GPU - Nvidia RTX 3070.
CPU - AMD Ryzen 5700X.
Ram - 16GB.
Resolution - 2560x1440p.

I'm asking the Giants developers to watch the video I posted so they know what it's all about, thanks in advance!
Game became unplayable!

I need to restart the pc if I want to reload the save or play another savegame, if not the game runs a lot slower. Was not like that before the 1.9 update.

The same happens with restarting the computer. But at the same time, I think it's stupid that every time I load the game I have to restart the computer, it's a real stupidity. This phenomenon was not present before the update to version 1.9

Wow! You drive all those tractors on your own?? There are a lot! I'm not saying you not allowed to, do what you want, but knowing this game and giants, you can get a lot of visual issues with to many stuff around. Especially like this on the main farm.

Did you even look at the log? Because I think with so many stuff it might even be a simple mod conflict. As some mods conflict after the update.

Things you can do to find the issue:
1. Look at your log
2. Delete your shader-cache folder
3. Try a new save without any mods and see what happens. If the game runs fine it's then a mod-conflict and you need to find the mod that gives the issue.

@ Mesocyclone

I tried your suggestion but it didn't help! The problem still persists! Most of the mods are from Giants and I have all the DLCs from Giants. Ten mods are not from the Giants. These ten modes are used by most players in the game.

Code: Select all

(Version: 1.8.7.1) FS22_aPalletAutoLoader
(Version: 1.1.2.0) FS22_AutoloaderStockPackjw
(Version: 1.0.0.2) FS22_BigExtendedMeridianSilo
(Version: 7.2.0.0) FS22_Courseplay
(Version: 1.0.0.0) FS22_doubleRodMatFencePack
(Version: 1.3.0.2) FS22_EasyDevControls
(Version: 2.1.6.0) FS22_guidanceSteering
(Version: 1.0.0.0) FS22_metalFenceWithGates
(Version: 1.0.0.0) FS22_TimeScaleScript
(Version: 1.0.0.1) FS22_Panel_fence_and_gate
I note once again that this was not happening before the update, it happened with the new update!!! I showed the log file in the first post! Thank you for your comment.

Yeah even when mods are from modhub you can still have a mod conflict after the update.

The only way to rule that out is trying a new safe with NO mods. Mods are tested on their own, not tested if they work together. And with the amount of mods in your log its a high possibility there is a mod conflict. EVEN when they are on the modhub.

Updated your graphics card? Maybe there is an update ready. A windows update? Anything.

It looks like you are the only one with this issue, I haven't seen this issue before on this forum. So there should be something wrong.

Maybe try to run the game with Direct X 11 instead of 12.

You can change that in the game.xml

Did you try to change the window mode? So borderless window/exclusive etc etc?

What steps did you try? So people that wanna help know what options are ruled out...

I have the latest graphics card driver. This afternoon, the graphics card was updated! And of course the problem is still there!

All that you mention has been tried!
So borderless window/exclusive etc etc?

So also DRD 11? Real strange as you are the only one having this issue. Good luck with finding a solution. I'm out of ideas. Hope you find a fix soon.

Yes, I changed to D3D 11 and the problem is still there!

Code: Select all

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="no" ?>
<game>
    <language>0</language>
    <graphic>
        <display>
            <width>1920</width>
            <height>1080</height>
            <brightness>1.000000</brightness>
            <fullscreenMode>exclusive_fullscreen</fullscreenMode>
            <vsync adaptive="true">true</vsync>
            <userConfirmed>true</userConfirmed>
            <previousWidth>1280</previousWidth>
            <previousHeight>720</previousHeight>
            <scaling>2.000000</scaling>

The code you pasted has D3D12 and not 11.
Why is there 1280x720 in that code while you play on 1920x1080, and that scaling?

You would say it all needs to be 1920x1080 like in my code, and i dont know what that scaling is. But looks like it has to do with your screen being scaled down. (like that is your issue)
For me it's all 1920x1080:

Code: Select all

 <display>
            <width>1920</width>
            <height>1080</height>
            <brightness>1.000000</brightness>
            <fullscreenMode>windowed</fullscreenMode>
            <vsync adaptive="true">false</vsync>
            <userConfirmed>true</userConfirmed>
            <previousWidth>1920</previousWidth>
            <previousHeight>1080</previousHeight>
            <rtScaling>1.000000</rtScaling>
            <scaling>2.000000</scaling>
        </display>
