Even if I modelled new tree saplings, there is no way of adding them to the game?

i believe you have to register them as a new type and prepare the map to receive them.

Ah!! So it’s possible? You done it before?
Before I carry on in blender, I need to have certainty. These will be 20 new species of the rarest hardwoods on the planet. Very very pricey

You may have a problem with the leaves as in game tree leaves have no polygons

Which map is this from. So if the logging tree’s currently available have no polygons for leaves, then I can render my new tree’s accordingly. Or do I not understand?

The map is the base map Elmcreek and I was just pointing out that giants base game trees have no polygons for the leaves so you will have to find a way of doing the same otherwise you will end up with some very high polygon trees which may cause problems if large numbers are used in say a forest.

Ok Mrsubbie. Looks like it’s only us. So I have added mahogany i3d files to treetypes.xml in base directory . 5 growth stages. Couldn’t find a way of adding new tree types via mod. Had to create new treesaplingpallet mod to get the l10n file into game. I can purchase this mahogany, plant it. But the tree info box says “OAK”. Very odd

So i solved process of adding new tree species to game. Even for forestry
