Can a texture atlas with dimensions of 1024x8192 be accepted by modHub?

You should download and check the GIANTS Software ModHub Guidelines on GDN. I don't see anything about file size, but I'm not sure what you mean by texture atlas.

I think this can only be answered by the Modhub team.

But I had several mods with 1024x8192 textures in FS19 without any problem.
Maybe the size and complexity of the object should be considered.
For a simple bench you should use a smaller texture atlas, but maybe for a huge barn with a lot of details it would be ok.

I myself only use texture atlasses with 1024x4096 in FS22 and it works well.
Giants only uses this size as well. But sometimes they split a complex object between inside and outside, if the textures are rather different, that are used inside and outside.

What I changed from FS19 to FS22 is: in FS19 I mainly used square textures to combine my texture atlas, even when used only for small areas, like metal (for handles and gutters).
In FS22 I use square textures for the big areas like roofs and walls and only small stripes for metal and for wooden posts and such. If I want to have a color variety, I use the possibilities of the color choices of the buildingShader.
Like that, I'm quite happy with 1024x4096, even happier than before with 1024x8196.

In Farming Simulator 17 it might have been possible, but in FS22 the original textures in the files are 1024x4096.

I couldn't find such an information in the guidelines.
But maybe this is the way, they handle it atm.
