FS22 Landscaping

Post by d1ckey »

Hello ello,

Anyone have any tips or mods for landscaping? I'm new to FS22 this year and cannot get the hang of landscaping correctly.

I end up with lumps and bumps all over the place and cannot get areas level!!

Any advice, help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

use either smooth or level on them and hold the control there a moment to give them chance to work not just move over it fast

Also make the selected area as large as possible, and strength as high as possible, when smoothing (unless you are working in a tight area of course). And remember that the landscaping tools leave a lot to be desired for even the most proficient among us, it's not just you.

100% You only make that school boy error once!

I've learnt preparing the area and making it level before putting structures down also helps.

As the buildings move the levels around as they feel fit!

Another tip is to make sure you remove trees, stumps and even the occasional woodchip before you try to landscape. They can really mess with smoothing and levelling.

FS19 was a lot easier and quicker, trying to smooth out bumps now takes forever where as FS19 you could smooth everything in seconds

When using landscape tools, start with a smaller brush size. This allows for greater precision and control when shaping the land. You can gradually increase the brush size if needed.

Agreed even with the intensity all the way up it’s very slow. Seems like it changed in an update too because I don’t remember it being quite so slow earlier on.
