Is there a work around for those of us that can't get the updater to auto update the game(PC version). Instead of downloading new versions from the eShop? My last few attempts have failed with "network failure"

Yes my internet is garbage with download speeds of 0-7mbs/sec on a good day. I am picking this is why the updater doesn't work and I get the "all servers down" message with every attempt, but to then have to TRY and download 13gb in a browser is just mockery.

Is there some app that can auto resume downloads?

So what do others in my situation do? Feel free to chime in now

I would get up at one or two in the morning and give it a go. Should have the most available bandwidth. If you’re being throttled during peak times that should be better in the middle of the night also. Other than that turn off any other devices using internet, update your router, make a hard connection rather than Wi-Fi, and lastly consider a new internet provider. Satellite internet should give you a more reliable connection than that.
