John Deere 2r, 3r, 4r Series? Mod Request?

Post by mschaffer66 »

With the popularity of the small farming it seems odd that no one has ever made a John Deere 2, 3, or 4 series tractor.

Top clarify, not talking about old tractors. The new compact tractors they make like 2038r.

Am I the only oddball that thinks having those would be cool?

On the family farm where I grew up, old John Deere equipment (Ford, IH, and Case too) was the backbone of the local farming community (mixed general farming). I would like to see some generic Midwest USA maps where you start with either inheriting an old farm (with old equipment) or an abandoned one. The scenario is realistic since some farms get so far behind on state and local taxes that they can be acquired for less than the real estate value. Another starting scenario is that the farm is behind on its bank loan and you take over to rescue it. So yes, I am very interested in old farm equipment mods.

I would love to see old Ford, Leyland and David Brown. The ones I drove as a teenager.

I do love that idea, but I'm not talking old equipment.

I'm talking about things like a 2038r, 3046r, or even the new 4075r
