It looks promising. I hope the build quality is above the Logitech G Farm Sim Heavy Equipment Bundle and on par with for example Logitech G29. I wonder if there is anything special programmed into FS to support specific aspects of the controller, for example for the hand throttle.
Can’t wait for reviews…

Does make me rethink my DIY controller build plans...

Problem with Logitech wheel was that it was too cheap, because it was cheap it was badly built and low quality. It was cheap because they did not expect many sales, FS was not so popular so making too expensive gear was not profitable. So lets see how much they are asking for this. It can be also cheap and bad quality... will see.

It's me or there weren't any previus anoucement of this thing? I just saw it on youtube.
I hope they also sell the controller separately. I already have the old logitech controller and don't need a new wheel

I think the joystick itself looks really interesting. Can the game support shuttle shift/left hand reverser?

I emailed and asked whether the joystick can be bought alone.

I got a generic reply that "the wheel is of high quality material and feels great".

I replied and said many farm sim players already have a wheel and are looking for a better or more immersive joystick. I continued "there is no way I'm changing my Fanatec wheel".

Hope they got the idea.. imho I think they would do more sales that way.

It was mentioned in the blog post of 23/08: https://www.farming-simulator.com/newsA ... ews_id=488
It is listed on the website of Giants but that's about it. I don't believe it is anywhere available for orders yet.

Looks like first review video is online: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0fthKDZVz4

By the way, I am from the Netherlands. But if I pre-order this at Amazon it totals over $500 with shipping and import taxes. I hope that it becomes available through a more affordable retail channel.

In the description of that first video posted by OP there are 2 links to Amazon for pre-orders:

Amazon US:

Amazon UK:

It's listed on amazon.nl too, but not availble yet: https://www.amazon.nl/dp/B0CFFYBBCV
Amazon.de also has a page, just change .nl for .de in url.
Amazon UK is mentioning it's availability from 30-11-2023, so I suggest it's just a matter of time and patience.

The new controller does explain an entry from their last changelog for version 1.12:

Code: Select all

Increased the max number of supported gamepad buttons to 128
Used to be 32 according to this post.

Looks good, recommendations for a left joystick for forestry?
Running on 2 year old new old hardware that used to crash often.

I emailed them last week, there is no plans to release side panel separately.

Hmm.. so what does „supported gamepads“ mean?

Because I‘m running Virpil Control Panels and Sticks together with a Logitech Pro Racing Wheel and they offer way more than 32 buttons each.
And their build quality is far superior than HORI's Farming Vehicle Control System.
I’ve been trying to get all buttons to work for quite a while now. Including building custom config xmls for the devices in the “Inputs Manual” folder and splitting the controllers up by vjoy. The only thing that sort of worked was the vjoy solution. But then I always run into the max controllers limit issue.

So I wonder if there is a solution to achieve the 128 button support somehow without buying worse quality but officially licensed equipment?
