how to deal with pallets with old equipment?

I suppose it depends on what your take on "vintage" is.
To some, the 1990's are vintage, to others its the 1950's or 60's. (I am not aware of any mods that would take you beyond the 50's or 60's)
It also depends on if you are on PC or console, as the mods would be different.

If you are on PC and going for vintage around the between the 50's to 80's then there are lots of small tractor mods all with front loaders that you could use. There is the Massey pack on modhub. It has the excellent little MF35 in it (My first real life tractor). There are others around, such as the Eicher with front loader. There is an excellent Fendt pack which will take you back to the 70's and give some bigger horse power as well.

If you are on console, I am not entirely sure, as I am on PC, but I am sure someone can chip in.

That MF 711 skid steer listed above is great. I use it on a few maps. It has a rear wieght so it can move pretty large loads.
