I want to sell a bakery that I bought.
However, it is full of incoming materials:

If I sell, I will lose all these materials.
Is there any way to get these materials back before selling the bakery?

I'm in the same situation. I just made certain no other production is feeding materials to the bakery, and plan to let it run out.

I'm almost certain any materials will be credited if you sell it. Test it and see. Save, sell and if you only get the price for the bakery then just reload the game

Tested. No incoming material is returned to me.

On pc, edit the placeables, xml file to move the materials to another storage location.

On console, use a mod (Government Subsidy) to give yourself enough money to repurchase the materials using one of the mods which allow you to buy them (Buyable Products for instance).

You wouldn't get anything returned to you at best it will sell the contents at a base price and you get the money.

I never inferred it would get returned. I had said you should get credited for the materials

What kind of "credit"?
In any case, this doesn't happen either, nothing is returned or credited, you simply lose all incoming materials there.

As I said before, the game does not return the value of the incoming materials that are in the building sold.
It only returns, as always, half (or less) of the original value of the building.

Used to be the case that you did get credited for the materials. Anyway, other than using power tools or etc to spawn the stuff you have very little options

It's got the cooties from the animals/production workers so materials must remained quarantined in their storage locations.
