FS25 Likes and Dislikes
Re: FS25 Likes and Dislikes
I liked in the previous version that I could buy an old slow machines and start the new farm.
After every harvest, I was able to upgrade something or buy new better machine.
Now it's a bit boring and too easy.
Will wait till they fix the game and add some mods.

Re: FS25 Likes and Dislikes
After about 30 or so hours I've noticed some things I like and some that I hate as well as a couple of things that I REALLY REALLY HATE.
The Likes
Riverbend Springs is a beautiful and well laid out map that reminds me of my grandparents farm along the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers. Right down to the ferries that are extremely prevalent in the area. I absolutely can see myself spending many happy hours on it, especially after some of my favorite mods get converted.
I like the ability to do the smaller versions of productions and I like the ability to build the houses and buildings
I like the buildable mission quests
I love the new/old International Cabover (I grew up with these)
I like the new log trailers and lowboys
I hate not having the older equipment to start small and build up.
I hate the multitude of little annoying bugs that keep popping up like the inability to load stone from the growing pile of rocks at the dredge.
I hate that you can hardly trim the trees properly with the chainsaw anymore.
I REALLY Hate that when you sell a building off so you can build something else in it's place you can't because of the "Overlaps another Object" message even though nothing is there.
I hate that you can't get the crane controls to work right for a joystick although I don't have problems with the front loaders, skid steers, and wheel loaders.
I remember small bugs in all of the previous versions but this kinda reminds me of the "driving on ice" time from when FS15 was released. I love this game but I'm definitely a little disappointed that this was the final product. I do hope these bugs are quickly patched as it definitely takes away from the relaxing experience of the game.

Make sure you don't have easy arm controls enabled and there is also a new wood harvester automatic cutting but unsure what it actually does, it says ''tree will be automatically cut after the tree has been delimbed''

Having spent a fair few more hours in Zielonka, I’m starting to get a bit over ground deformation. I’m farming on the softest, spongiest soil in the world here! I’m surprised I don’t leave deep footsteps when I’m walking through my yard!Luftkopf wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 4:36 am After five hours playing it on my MacBook Pro, I have few negatives. It runs better than 22, with no stutters, and I'm loving all the new details. The magic circle is further diminished, and it all looks great.
I still need to get used to the new menus, but that will come with time. I haven't counted them, but it feels like there are fewer tractors. It could be the different way they're presented in the interface making it look that way, or the fact that there are only 2 Claas tractors, which were what I mostly used in 22. I look forward to getting more later!
I’m greatly looking forward to the return of Precision Farming, and will be on sharp lookout for a nice German map (Geiselsberg, MVP 19, and Irgendwo in Thüringen III have been my favourites so far), but this will do for now.

Re: FS25 Likes and Dislikes
AI workers continue to be my pet peeve and perennial letdowns. The driving AI is still useless, getting stuck all over the place, be it trees, fences, lamp posts, etc. The fieldwork AI, although much improved, still can't handle wide implements or articulated tractors. So the only two things I was really looking forward to in 25 are massive disappointments as far as I'm concerned.
On the upside, the default maps are nice and for the first time in a long time I might actually enjoy the hundreds of hours I will (hopefully) eventually spend on them.

Re: FS25 Likes and Dislikes
I like it when you load a save, any workers previously engaged carry on.
I don't like the menu layout. Finding owned or leased machines is not intuitive. Even buying products like fert and seed is a bit of a hunt.
The variety of new contracts is great, as is the new ai GPS / field control. A few more relatively basic options would've helped here however, the ability to save or copy a path so baling after a combine would be easier, or better implemented. No real issues with ai in fields either, the odd quirk, but by and large they do what they've been tasked with.
Giants always seem to make a nice map then put street furniture in the way the AI collides with. A bizarre choice given its their trainset.
Enjoying it so far, runs smoothly, looks pretty and hasn't crashed yet.

Just set the with of the baler to the same as the combine, that should do it

Been playing WAAAAY to many hours - PC with Logitech G27

Re: FS25 Likes and Dislikes
Pros: the game overall. If and when the most noticeable bugs are fixed for good and fast, this game has lot of potential and hundreds hours of playing time.
construction ideas
AI
Maps. Zielonka was good choise to have in, when there is no Erlengrat.
Few girly piece of clothes. Could be more. Does not have to be SIMS, but.. lot of things in this game is immersion. Realism is key - someone said. Someone wants to have green tractor, I prefer red: Both as good as for farming things: plowing, towing..
Cons: Too much bugs! (Red light district, snow..) + all what I've seen in Reddit.
the same invisible blocks in Zielonka, like in FS22.
same time there is not collision when it should be (those sidewalk bricks in productions). Tested with "tuk tuk".
AI: Wants always do headlands, or not doing that area at all!
AI: Why not: up / down the whole field option? How do you do vegetable harvesting? It is a row crop. Up / down worked well in FS22.
AI: Field not found! (sitting 100% on the field)
AI: How to 4 helpers and I on the same field? No?
Brake lights like from 70's, light dim red, illumintating slowly.
Grass rolling does not give harvest stage. Whole line is deleted from info box, after grass rolling.
Spawning default farm.
Staring, stalking grandpa. How to disable? He is creepy. s/ If he does not stop that.. in time - he will face his density - the same as Biff in BTTF
/s
Female farmers lose their hair still when wearing a hat.
No long hairs (female farmers)
Overalls considered as onepiece. Can't wear different color (t-) shirts under them. Does not have to be SIMS, but..

Re: FS25 Likes and Dislikes
There's a lot about FS25 I'm liking but my dislikes are the Internation pickup and its big brother won't tow trailers , lime is still the wrong colour and the stone pile that accumilates at the cement factory is unusable , you can't scoop up the stones and use them. base game tractor and cultivator selection incredibly lacking
Re: FS25 Likes and Dislikes
I might be alone in this, but I dislike the new AI worker. They do a good job in field coverage, but the way they work it prevents me from using multiple things on a field at once. Previously they would just start on one side and go up and down, once they got a third to halfway done I could start the next process on the field. Like if I was harvesting, once the harvester was halfway done I could start another AI mulcher. But the way they work the field now I cant start the next process until the current one is completely done because they'll stop and start in every corner before starting in the middle and working their way out.
I'm also having problems with weeds. Weeders AND sprayers are doing nothing to the weeds that have grown on one of my fields.
Agree about the menus, I dislike them. There are too many options in each one and it's hard to read.
And then, very minor but the texturing behind the machines is choppy when they are working. For example, when rolling a field after seeding it takes the ground too long to reflect the changes the rollers made and I see the ground changing like 10 feet behind my tractor and roller instead of AT my roller. Previous editions had smoother transitions that reflected changes in the dirt immediately behind your machines.
I know those were all dislikes, lol but I'm having fun and I am enjoying the stuff outta this game.

Re: FS25 Likes and Dislikes
I just realised that header cable and hose connections are still tied to specific combines. I'd hoped they'd finally be universal in FS25. Add that to the growing list of my disappointments.
Re: FS25 Likes and Dislikes
I was hoping that a brand new release would mean that a lot of the old bugs would have been eliminated. You still can't stack a dry semi van with pallets without them all dancing around on you. For me it seems like the programmers for this product just aren't as skilled as other game designers or maybe they just don't care... The second issue for me is that when I loaded the game for the first time, there were what, maybe 50 items in the store? Developers tell us to beware of using mods but in reality, without the modders, this game would be interesting for about a day and a half. 4 years between versions and we can't get a bug free game with tons of equipment that actually works for sale? Such a letdown...
