87% max yield bonus issue

I thought they changed the lime bonus in FS25 so it actually drops by 5% after every harvest but still only reminds you to lime after the third harvest.

Now that makes sense in terms of numbers and I had thouth about it but I tried to lime the soil when it doesn't require it and I couldn't. So, I think this still counts as a bug.

I also think there is a bug with lime - or maybe Giants have done something different with how it works..
If I try to put lime on a field right after harvest, it can't be done. But if I the either apply fertilizer, or cultivate/plow first - just do something to change the field state, I can put down lime.

That's also weird JensChrDK because I actually bought a new field this morning to put down some sunny flowers and the field was HORRIBLE so I literally started the process by liming a harvested field and then plowed it in... sometimes it really feels like we are all playing slightly different versions of the game lol

Definitely some bugs with fields. On Zielonka I had a field end up with weeds despite being fully plowed. A couple of times I couldn't fertilize a second time despite the crop having changed growth stage. I also had a field of corn give me the maximum bonus even though I didn't mulch or roll. Nothing game breaking but still quite odd.

I have noticed that my long grain rice is able to reach 100%. I haven't tested anything but that alone makes me think its weed related as the rice doesn't get weeds to begin with.

I just watched FarmerCop's video about lime and its yield bonus. And something was very off on yield bonuses on that video:

So it really looks like yield bonuses doesn't work as intended or the info that is given on the bottom right infoscreen is wrong.

All I have to say is the soybean yields are terrible. I have the seasons turned off does this affect yields? All I do is plow or cultivate and fertilize twice. And it says I am getting 97% yield on my soybeans. And I did two fairly big fields and only got about 39500. That's not a very good yield for the time it takes to do all the field work...

Ok so I can get to 100%. My process, post harvest/straw collection and assuming the field is in bad shape and needs everything, is lime, mulch, solid fert, deep tillage to kill weeds and turn everything over, destone (or cultivate but it seems that brings weeds back?), roll the first time, seed/plant, roll the second time and finally spray fert again assuming its not rice. Doing it this way you can turn a field around completely inside of a month without advancing growth and get to 100%. Most of the order doesn't matter as its just for efficiency and my own roleplay but you need to roll after cultivation but before planting and again after planting. And to get 100% all steps (that are turned on in the menu but turning things off may not be reflecting the changes in % values properly, I honestly don't know as I keep it all on) must be completed. If you cut corners, your yield will suffer.

Yes, I noticed that my corn/maize yield is really good. I know there is a section in the map xml.file where you can adjust the yield value for that fruit. But I'm not sure where to edit it? So I'll leave well enough alone... And just plant extra soybeans...

Abit late to the party here but I have nearly 170hrs on hutan pantai and the only time I noticed a 87% max yield is when I did rice. But that was without the field being mulched prior.

Every other time its been 97% without it being mulched which puts it on par to it being 100%. All in all though still enjoying the game and map thus far. Am looking forwards to see what mods and modded maps we get later on down the track and see what they offer with all the new features FS25 brings.

Regarding the soybeans comments. I haven't done soybeans yey but will say that the yields to profit on oats aren't as strong as they were on FS22. I get more value from wheat and corn on the same fields from it's higher yield then I do from oats which wasn't like that for me on 22.

I had the same odd number 87% last night.
After harvesting, the field info needs LIME.
I am guessing periodly plow and periodly lime are causing yield decrease year by year.

you guys gonna make me test this huh Joking aside, I will put together a proper test tmmw and get all of us some solid answers. I don't *think* that it drops off harvest by harvest but I could be wrong. Really wishing easy dev controls would have dropped by now.. this would all be a lot easier to test that way.

What I've seen on YT from people testing, you need to lime each 3 harvests, the first time lime gives you 15%, 2nd time 10% and 3rd time 5% bonus yield. Then the info tells you to lime again. I don't know if they made other changes compared to FS22, would be nice if giants can clear the air here and give some info.

Ok. My last try was to keep everything else the same but to get rid off the weeds by a hoe instead of spraying them with herbicide. And I get 100% yield bonus. That was only on one of my fields. So, I was convinced that the weeding method made a huge difference. But then I noticed the other fields showed 97% yiled bonus instead of 87% even though I didn't do anything differently on them. So, I guess back to square one which is "I have no idea"

One thing though, I absolutely and completely hate the pallet handling physics of this game. Giants managed to get it just about ok somewhere in the middle of 22 but now... I mean come on. I have been playing this game since 15 and this is literally the worst version they released. Even worse than 19. It has been over a decade these guys are making this game. How do they even manage to mess it up like that. So frustrating.

You can even see my tire tracks actually helped against the weed

Not sure if it´s supposed to be possible to make the field 100% weed free just by rolling
