Mac AppStore Version - Corrupted Graphics

Post by coulls »

Hi there,

I have just purchased the Mac AppStore version (1.3.1?). When I run it, the screen is flickering terribly, the colour pallette is corrupted, and the mouse is consistently not where the main menu thinks it is (the real mouse pointer is about an inch to the upper-right).

My specs are:
MacBook Pro 15"
Processor 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 4 GB

Has anyone else seen this issue?

Cheers,

Coulls

I found a solution!

Here's the steps to fix it.

1). Launch the game.
2). When you get to the corrupted graphics stage, press Command+H to hide the window to the dock.
3). Click the icon on the dock.

This will restore your window and fix the graphics issue, allowing you to at least navigate and see what you're doing. However, I found that this was a bit of a pain for subsequent launches. So, to make the solution permanent, go through the above, then from the main menu of the game, go to Options->Screen Resolution and select the one that matches your screen resolution (in my case, 1440 x 900). Save the new screen option.

So far, this has fixed me for over 12 hours. Hopefully, it does the same to you.

Hi there,

In my case, the MacBook Pro didn't have a retina display, but all information helps!
