I have logged about 15 hours of gameplay since my last great demand occurred. Prior to this I was getting a great demand every 1-2 hrs of play. I'm also pretty sure great demand stopped after I focused heavily on storing crops. Anyone else experience this? Playing on latest version of iOS, FS16.

I think I had around 200.000 of each crop and 5mill on my account when I high demand stopped appearing. I had around 500.000 of each crop and 8mill. Then I sold all my crops and the bank account reached <12mill. I have since harvested 120.000 canola and 60.000 corn and still no high demand.
I think the high demand could very well be linked to the amount of money we have too.

Money and crop amounts may have something to do with it. I will say when my great demands stopped, I was nowhere near that much crop or money though. I believe I had about 300k in cash plus about 100k each of the big three in storage.

Ok so I went with shadows approach. Sold everything. Bought 2 Case Magnums and a Case harvester. Had about 100k left. 10 mins later, great demand occurs for wheat. So it appears that the game is geared to help people who don't stockpile crops and punish those who do. Sounds like the federal government lol. I hope it's just a bug though, because that certainly takes some more of the realism out of the game.

In FS15 ... according to some one who looked at the "game code" ... great demands appears less often the longer you play the game. It is designed like that.
I don´t know if it is the same for FS16

A great demand for FS15 always takes place 2 to 5 ingame days after the day it was created.
You can check the economy.xml in your savegame to find out the day the next great demand will take place. In the careerSavegame.xml you can find out the current ingame day.

Yeh that sounds about how mine was until I went 15-20 real people hours without a great demand. And then one occurs 5 mins or less after I sell all my crop. Seems a little odd to me. This is on iOS though so no way to check the files.
