How to find out if latest Update is installed?

I have steam and can not figure out if FS17 updated or not. How can I tell? Is there something at least in the game that has changed majorly that I could tell from that? I know that it is suppose to do it automatically.

The easiest way to check if you have the latest version of the game is to check the number displayed in the upper left corner of the main menu of the game. Alternatively you can check the log.txt file that the game creates on each start in the FarmingSimulator2017 folder (see
viewtopic.php?f=874&t=97898 for instructions on how to find it). There the version is also displayed:
