Re: queston about weeder
Next growth state. You absolutely cannot do two stages of fertilizer in one stage of the crop.
There are a FEW exceptions, such as cultivating the radishes with the Zunhammer slurry/cultivator immediately jumps you from Light Blue to Dark Blue stage, but I have tried fertilizing right after weeding and it doesn't count. You have to wait for a growth stage of the crop for that.

Sounds like you already have three stagesDaveK wrote:ok, I after harvest. I fert. seed. ploughed feed, plated wheat with fert. and seed mix. after first growth. weeded.. do I need to fert. right after? or do I wait til next grouth state?
- fert then plow
- fert with planting
- weeding (which counts as a fert)
Is the field dark blue on the fert map?

Re: queston about weeder
If you're ever confused as to when to fert, try hiring a worker to fertilize. If the worker stops soon after you start them, then the field does not need it. I used this trick to find the fert stages after first growth.
Re: queston about weeder
The reason for that is because you get the bonus for cultivating in the radish but the game also counts the slurry going on after a field change. Kinda how a fertilizing seeder works on a fertilized field.Faelandaea wrote:Next growth state. You absolutely cannot do two stages of fertilizer in one stage of the crop.

Re: queston about weeder
To get 200% yield theres actually 4 stages, as each of the fertilizer/weed stage count as 30%, the first ploughed in radish counts as 10%
Or at least thats how it should be according to the readings ingame

Actually it's Fert = 30% each. It's the plow that counts as 10%.WolfeUK wrote:To get 200% yield theres actually 4 stages, as each of the fertilizer/weed stage count as 30%, the first ploughed in radish counts as 10%

So ... Plow+Fert+Fert+Fert=full crop yield.
Or ... Plow+Fert+Fert+Fert=9 months later you might be in trouble
Just depends on if we're talking in game or out

When you say plow, do you mean with a plow or a cultivator?
I cultivate after every crop but people using the term "plow" confusing me?
Plus using the largest plow the AI misses parts & you have to run back over it

Plow is different from cultivator. If there is another translation for it, I am unaware, as my only languages are Japanese and, with effort, English.
If I know what language your game is in, I could probably help you find the right word for it.

You said the radishes count for 10%. They don't, it's 30%WolfeUK wrote:Yea, thats what i said ?Faelandaea wrote:Actually it's Fert = 30% each. In reality, it is two different things ...NITROBUSA wrote:When you say plow, do you mean with a plow or a cultivator?

But for this game it does the same ... you could just use the cultivator instead of the plow, before sowing (or if you used the plow / no need to cultivate) ...
However ... with the "plowing feature" enabled ... you would be "forced" to use the plow, instead of the cultivator, every third harvest cycle ...
Regarding the AI "missing parts" ... I think it´s just plowing "realistically" ... however ... as the AI is unable to do the "headland" last ... you will need to do that manually ... I guess.

Re: queston about weeder
Anyone know of a youtube video using and explaining using radishes before the crop as reading this thread it's going right over my head and not sinking in?
Why would you use radishes instead of fertilizer in the first instance? Sorry for being dumb but I just don't get it. (frustrating me that I don't understand)
Edit: not used a weeder yet either, do they use it in missions at all?

Oilseed radish - you plant it, it grows one stage, you cultivate it -- and that counts as one stage of fertilization (if you play with 3x Fertilizer States).Lysa wrote:Why would you use radishes instead of fertilizer in the first instance?
It's nice for a few reasons:
- It's cheaper than fertilizer
- If you use the expensive weeder, you can weed (1x fert) and plant the oilseed in one pass.
- Adds variety (there are a number of ways to reach 3x fert)
