Sorry it is a old post but I figured out the code needs to be updated! (As to why its not working for me and others)DukaSoft wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2016 8:00 pm you need to edit the "gamesettings.xml" in "Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2017"
Look for:change that to:Code: Select all
<modsDirectoryOverride directory="C:/Temp" active="false"/>
Code: Select all
<modsDirectoryOverride directory="your mods location folder" active="true"/>
Code: Select all
<modsDirectoryOverride active="false" directory="C:/Temp"/>
hope that helps others. Plus answer a question
You open "gamesettings.xml" with Notepad or Notepad++ then find that line and edit it.Coopdeville89 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2017 4:12 pm [quote=And how does one go about changing said xml file? Ive tried looking for an answer but haven't found a sufficient one yet.

Don't touch the parameter <modsDirectoryOverride> and use this software: FS Mod Manager 5, it works fine for me since many years. With it, you can put your mods everywhere you want.
