A weekly, monthly, yearly type financial log would be nice. I've played games like Railroad Tycoon & JD American Farmer that had decent enough financial logs.

Personally, I don't care much for the manual egg gathering either. If there was an auto gathering option, then I would recommend requiring corn to feed them. Similar to the feed system for cows and sheep.
