[Solved] Game constantly freezes

Issue: From when I start the game the intro video is lagging, the menu is slow and when hovering the mouse over an option it takes 4-5 sec to light up, and if i click it takes 4-5 sec to register the click.

When entering a game the freezes runs a sequence on a loop like this: runs for 4 sec- freeze for 1 sec - run for 1 sec - freeze for 1 sec.
No matte what I do or don't do, I can stand still and just watch it all happen, i can move and it happens, i can drive a tractor and it happens.

What I've done to try and fix this: reduce graphics settings, in Nvidia control panel I've set the performance over quality to full, I've updated driver, then uninstalled everything from nvidia including driver, then reinstalling them. Verified game files in steam, reinstalled the game, and yes even restarted the system.

As seen in log file my system should be above minimum specs to run the game, all other games are fine. It's just FS19.
I hope there's a solution for this as I'm starving to play the game so I'm awaiting your reply.

While waiting for a reply I've gone trough and updated every driver on the system, not only Nvidia. Reinstalled the game once more, removed all controllers from PC so only using mouse & keyboard, then removing the inputbindings file.

Monitored cpu, ram, disk and gpu. The game never use more than 18% of the cpu however WMI Provider Host spikes up total cpu usage by 8%. WMI Provider Host does nothing when idling, or when playing frostpunk and total war warhammer. Still the total system only use 30% of cpu when running FS19 with these WMI Provider Host spikes.
Gpu is barely on at all as i run the game at low settings, both fullscreen and windowed. Ram and disk is nothing out of the ordinary.

Been googling around the subject of: WMI Provider Host. Some suggest it could be virus related (although i suspect not as it is always idle as it should be. Except when running FS19 where it for some reason comes to live).

So scanned the entire system with windows defender. Then I installed Bitdefender, nome of them came back with anything. So went on trough with anti malwarebytes and hitman, both came back with nothing.
After that i went trough the registry found some stuff there that got fixed, however, none of them impacted the game performance.

Re installed FS15 & FS17, both of them also works fine.
So in the end, FS19 is still unplayable for me and I am still awaiting a reply from you.

Found a solution finally. If you have any virtual keyboard, or any applications like CCP server, Roccat power grid or anything that lets you use your phone or tablet as a mouse/keyboard or buttonbox on your pc, remove it. Worked for me and the game actually launch flawless. sadly been picking away now for 12 hours straight so to tired and sleepy to actually play the game. Hope this helps Mgjm

Glad to hear you sorted it! Would you mind posting what software specifically seemed to cause the problem? (It might help others with your setup avoid problems and might help Giants narrow down the source of controller issues faster to help everyone.)

Sure, when I first unplugged my xbox controller a few days ago, I also disabled CCP server (application that recieves signals from my ipad that basically works as a keyboard/buttonbox/stream deck). And made sure it wasn't running in task manager either. So I never looked back as I had excluded it from the equation.
However, today I gave up and decided to mail my dxdiag to support.

Upon reading trough the dxdiag I saw that even though CCP server was disabled it was still registered as an input device. So decided to just remove the program from the pc and started FS. Bam freezes gone, turned graphics to highest setting and no issues.

My game seems to freeze when I try to attach a implement or when i click V to move to a vehicle. it completely crashes and i cant even do anything i have to reset my pc to fix it. its very annoying. my Pc specs arent a problem I rock a Ryzen 7 1700 and a Geforce GTX 1060. No other games have the issue

Hiya's,

I had crashing using my G27 setup

The weird thing is a button is seemingly modelled to using Tab key at default and i can't remove it

So, when i model the reverse view vehicles shift+tab, for some reason it seems to register a using of the tab key twice causing a crash !!

Kinda weird to explain, but for me my crash fix was simply not to map shift+tab

The G27 button is on the shifter, it's red button on the far right out of the four buttons

Weird ehh lol

Just go thru any mappings and check for duplicate/s
