That is one BAD ASS combine.
Re: John Deere New X series combine
Saw that they did their 'official' announcement on the specifications today. The X9 1000 and X9 1100 are going to have some pretty impressive capabilities. I also saw that John Deere is going to be releasing a 50-ft. draper header for it as well along with a new series of corn headers. Not sure how many guys will be able to swing the hefty price tag, guessing it's going to be somewhere in the $700k-$750k range before headers. They only operations that these make sense for are the guys that are covering 5,000+ acres. I think I read that it can do 30 acres/hour in small grains and up to 7,200 bu/hour in corn. Not many operations even have the resources to move 7,200 bushels/hour from bin to bin. Pretty crazy how far agricultural technology has come in the last 20 years.

Re: John Deere New X series combine
Last year we were lucky to have 1000 bushels per hour (and New Holland has had a twin rotor for probably over 40 years)
Re: John Deere New X series combine
Oh you'd be surprised. There's alot of operation across the Midwest running 2 combines. 1 combine like this could easily replace the bothThedebe48 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 8:31 pm Saw that they did their 'official' announcement on the specifications today. There was one in the UK last harvest. Theyve been built to take on the new Claas Lexion's. From what i heard they will do that and more. Just dont ask how much they cost.

Re: John Deere New X series combine
Time will tell if the X9 can beat a Claas Lexion. I've heard that Lexions can run 8000 bushel's a hour in corn and deere claims 7200 bushels a hour. I still think Lexion's will be the king's. I love to look of the X9's when i saw them, they quickly became my second favorite looking combine and can wait to for Siid modding to start share progess pictures on it

All I know the only time I saw the new claas lexion was when it was broken down in the field, but the case and jd s790 were running strong Haha. I know they all can break down.

That’s about how old the last new Holland combine I have saw in our area is. HahahaFarmercaseih wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 8:33 pm Last year we were lucky to have 1000 bushels per hour (and New Holland has had a twin rotor for probably over 40 years)
Re: John Deere New X series combine
Pure throughput is just one parameter and means nothing if looked at it alone.
More important is the combination of various parameters (throughput, fuel consumption, loss level, grain quality) depending on your operation focus.

Re: John Deere New X series combine
JD copied other brands as always. They first copied Case IH's Axial Flow system years ago, and now they copied New Holland's Twin Rotor system and adjustable spout.

Who copied who after the first plow? Everyone copies each other and make other parts better where other companies fell short. Food industries do the same thing.

Re: John Deere New X series combine
With the CTS machine John Deere had a twin rotor system in the past (around 2009). The CTS was succeeded by the STS with single rotor as the single rotor was less complex and providing same/higher capacity by that time

There is no such thing as an original idea. It's either copied or modified haha
