Seasons on FS22

Post by cedricthecat »

Firstly, apologies if this has been covered already!

I've read that Seasons will be part of the game in FS22, as opposed to a mod. My question is, does anyone know if it's switchable?

I have had a dabble with Seasons on FS19, and quite enjoyed it for a while, but moved away from it in the end as I prefer a more relaxed style of play :D For that reason, switchable would be preferable for me! I won't be not buying FS22 if it's not-switchable, I'll just have to get used to it!
Played FS2013 and FS15 on PS3
Playing FS17, FS19 and now FS22 on PS4

It can be disabled, here’s a few official posts about season cycles in fs22 if you’re interested. It may interest you as giants version appears to be much more relaxed and simple

You can disable the crop planting/harvest calendar limit. But the visuals of the seasons cannot be turned off.

It sounds like it will be a nice compromise for folks like myself. Was not planning on jumping in but apparently I was told by my parents that a copy is headed our way christmas. The map looks great and that was my biggest hiccup with 19 when released.

^^ I may also have a dabble with Seasons "proper", if I can hold my nerve!

What I don't like is not being able to have long days all the time (I hate playing on dark maps!) and also weeds - I always have these switched off but seem to recall this is not possible in Seasons?

What I do like about Seasons is the half hour free hire of any equipment, the auto-filling water troughs and snow! :D

You can turn off weeds in seasons. Also turn your speed slower so you can get your work done during the day and fast forward through the night or add a longer day seasons.
1300 acre farm, finish out just about 10,000 hogs a year, 200 cattle, and xbox one and pc user.

The half hour free hire equipment was part of the season mod for 19. It has not been said ifs its part of Season based game for 22. My quest is that it won't be part of it.

The last I heard in that was 0.5 and even 0.1 time -- I think, so you can go even slower!

0.5 and 0.33x. This was an intermediate option as a response to the negative reaction to the seasons length, but since then they've increased season length to 28 days max.

I expect that the slowing of days is still an option though. It would come in handy every now and then. :)

Thanks for putting me right *thumbsup*

I would like a zero time option as well -- it helps a lot when sorting out anything that goes wrong.
