Does seedbed state do anything?

Post by gilroy222 »

As the title says, what does this state actually do?

There is such an emphasis on seedbed, and I know in real life you want a seedbed for planting, but in the game does it actually affect yield?

Yes it does. But only like 5-10% I think

I’ve found on 1 day months if you use the disk harrow or shallow cultivator on stubble to get stubble tillage, then use a roller on that, it changes to seedbed. Doing some tests with seedbed vs stubble tillage, it appears that seedbed gives you “small weeds” that can be got rid of with a weeder, whereas stubble tillage gives you “medium weeds” that need to be taken care of by a hoe (Einbock Chopstar). I’ve not done further tests for yield however

Interesting. I think all this stuff needs a better explanation from giants.

As a side note, how come some fields will say "needs rolling" after cultivating, but others don't?
