Lag spikes and help window

Hello, I just downloaded the 1.4 update. And now the game is lagging and the help window is gone. Is there a fix or do I play the waiting game ?

If help window is gone, there are somme problems with the mods in game?

Thanks alot böserlöwe ! I dint even think of checking the log. It turns out thaa it was the compass mod, of all things. My game is up and running again Thanks alot !

Guess I was lucky I thought it was the update since people claim to have so many problems

a nice help to avoid lags is empty the shader cache folder in the game directory. First time you open a map will take few seconds more, but so all will be back smooth
