This may be a stupid question, but if I take my FS disk out, put it in my buddy's Xbox, and update it, I'll be able to use the update on my Xbox at home, right? Would I have to log on to my account on his Xbox? I'm just wondering. Thanks!

The disk is not writeable. If you take your Xbox to your buddies house and use his his internet connection to update your Xbox it should work. Just be sure to have your disk as well.

Since its on disc, the game works with any XBL acount. You don't need to log in to any specific account to update the game.

If you had purchased the game digitally and downloaded the game, then you would have to log in to your account at his house in order to play.

Youll have to put the update on your XB1.Take your console to his house!!

If I understand your question correctly Taco is right.

The update saves to the console you install it on, not the disc. So, using his XBOX would only update the saves on his console. You would have to do it separately for your console. So yeah! Unplug her and throw her in the truck.
