High End PC Low End Results

Post by Deltatristar500 »

Hi all, can some share their graphic settings and how to minimize the stutters in this game. I have a new PC with the following setup, and deleted the shader cache and i know there are major stutters when you first start the game once the cache is removed. But Im still noticing stutters even with frames at 70s Any advance? Im also on the default American map on FS22

Asus Ryzen 9 5900X
Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550
RTX 3070 Graphics Card
64GB DDR4 Ram 3600Mhz
EVGA 850W Power Supply
1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4
1 TB NVME PICE gen 4
Windows 10

Like zero other games, the rumor is that when you load into a map, you need to visit almost every square inch, for some odd reason.

I agree...never seen something like that in any other game...really annoying to clear out the cache and its a crazy stutter fest and the only way around it to travel around the map....come on Giants

Same for me too, when I load in, it stutters alot for a good 20-30 minutes, and then when I switch between vehicles there's a 5 second delay before it happens, until I get through all my vehicles, then it's better.

Set it to DLSS or DLAA and it's smooth it out dramatically

I wish I had your PC Specs :mrgreen: Especially the graphics card. My machine is as follows;
AMD Ryzen 7 3700
B550 MB
32 GB PC 3200 Hyper X memory
Radeon 5700X 8 GB Video Card
2 TB Firecuda SSD
4TD WD 7200 RPM HD
60 FPS Locked and consistent.

I have a little bit of stutter as I move around the map, but nothing that you guys are describing. If I'm not getting the stutter, there's not reason your machine should be.
Have been playing FS since FS 2011 came out and still going strong. *thumbsup*

I think they've pushed this engine way past what it can handle, also get really bad stutter on series X, about time these guys invested in a new engine instead of revamping this old engine as clearly its not working
XB1~PC....I do struggle to understand sometimes, but i try

Giants: drastically updates engine

Players: this is amazing

Players next day: where are the mods? I can't play without mods

Modders: umm... it's going to take a few months to figure out this new engine and all the changes.

It's a catch 22 with this game. Most people agree the game requires mods for long term playability. However, if Giants makes massive changes in the base functionality of how the game works. It will not be as easy to mod. At least right away. It will take time for modders to figure all the new things out. So where is the line drawn? It's a sticky situation Giants has created for themselves.

What's your screen resolution?

I play at 3440x1440 with a fairly similar PC to yours, and the game is smooth at very high settings.

Sounds like something is off with your setup. The specs should be more than good enough.

For info, my specs:

Ryzen 3600X
2060 graphics card
16GB memory
SSD drive(s)
running at 1920x1080, all default settings

No stutters at all, except very occasionally (I suspect its doing a save then). So as above, I think there's something up with your system, drivers, settings or install.
