Not planting?

In Elmcreek, was seeding a field myself, but afterwards checked field stat's n said it was bare ground. But yet if I hired help to plant it, it planted/seeded???

Did you activate the seeder?
Been playing WAAAAY to many hours - PC with Logitech G27 and Thrustmaster Simtask Farmstick

If the field needs cultivating or plowing and you're not using a direct drill it won't seed.
