FS17 DLC

Post by Callum5347 »

Right now, we don't know yet what DLC we are going to get right now for FS17, but, what would you like to see in a DLC for FS17? (Choose 3)

1) Forestry DLC
2) Bale Equipment DLC
3) Old Equipment DLC (Like always)

Also, we know that there will be a "Gold Edition" but it probably won't be called "Gold Edition because FS15 had that name, and FS13 has Titanium Edition, What do you think will be the name of FS17's?

2) Hard time thinking of something else (Will update maybe)
3) Old equipment

I actually hope that the first map they do will be FreeLC since I kinda feel the 2nd map being Sosnovka is sorta not cool. I mean it is a fun map but it isn't a new map so hoping that they give us a new map for free to have 2 new maps with FS17. After that I have no issues with DLC maps

1. UK map
2. Farming Classics
3. Cow Mascot Avatar (for the game, not the PS4 profile)

I'll bet my Four Kings Casino & Slots chips on it being Platinum Edition for FS 17.

Riding lawn mowers, hand tools (shovel, axe, etc.), placeable petting zoo, farm animals need veterinary care, solar panels that can be added to buildings roof, mini gardens, placeable food bank where you can donate crops.

But I know none if this will happen because they have a lot to fix.

There are quite a few more good tractors from licenced brands that could be added, stuff like the Fendt 800 and 1,000 series, Case Puma short wheelbase, Case Maxxum series, New Holland T7 series, Massey Ferguson 6600 series etc.

Can't think what else I would add to the game except for some decent AI, since the workers on FS17 are nowhere near as useful as those on the FS16 mobile game even, so for console users who look unlikely to get courseplay that means we are stuck with workers who can't even properly work a rectangular field which is seriously limiting.

New maps of the same quality of Goldcrest.

I think it would be interesting if train operation became a bit more complex, as in ( player operated ) switches that lead to more places on the map which can be dead end tracks opposed to the simple close circuit track as they are now.

It could give a choice to use less road transport over greater distances, suitable for high volumes of crops ( train carries many truck loads at once ) but it would be nice if that came at a price ( paying for use of the train/track/fuel ) so doing it by tractor or truck is a lot cheaper. You would only use a train if you can afford it and/or move high volumes.

"American style map made for big equipment"

Exactly!! Goldcrest is supposed to be a fictional place in the Rockies, specifically, Colorado I think. The only place you will find big fields in Colorado is the eastern side of the state, and that's not much of an agricultural area. Go to West central Texas, Kansas, Nebraska, and Louisiana if you want to see some serious fields. I've joined field 5 & 9 in Goldcrest, and it gives you maybe 15 acres, Texas has rest areas along the freeways bigger than that. Try turning a Salford 8312 6.m plow at the ends of the field 5, it's tough. I ended up using two Lemken Titan 11's behind two Deutz Fhar series 9 tractors with the 336 hp engine options, and they work great, and it's almost easy to turn them. I start them, hit H for a hired hand, staggered, offset, one behind the other, and time it so I have time to stop the first at the end of the row, and pull him out of the way, then tab to the other, and stop him (or her) before the end too. I do this because the bots will stop to early, and start at an angle, doing a poor job. It's that or come back behind them with a small tractor and say the Amazone Cayron 200 (anything small is for gardens), and clean up. I've seen them in West Texas with 4 BIG tractors and plows working fields 5 miles on a side. My friend in South Louisiana farms rice and soybeans, and when he has his rice fields flooded, it looks like your looking across an inland sea or something they are so big. He and his younger brother farm the family farm now that their daddy passed, but i think combined they have like 15 thousand acres they farm. Also, it's one of the best places in the world to Goose hunt, it'll cost you, but worth it. I'm working on an American based map, but it's slow going with the Giants Editor, which needs some work yet let me assure you.

"Remove maintenance costs and add equipment repairs for a fee. Older equipment needing more expensive repairs."

This is liked too, and it's more real life. I don't like the "nanny" way they have it setup, but I suppose it for console players as they don't seem to have all the options we PC gamers enjoy, I don't know, never used one. My sons did, but they've all migrated to PC for some time now. I have three sons, and I can promise you all I've spent more on high end computer parts and video cards than I would have on a really nice car, but it is always a blast gaming with my boys, even though they all have grown now, we still play when we can. But I digress.

I see forestry a lot, and look all your maps have good forestry except Westbridge in FS15, but you can plant trees. Sosnovka is, hands down, the best forestry map to date, but on Westbridge I planted trees on two fields that once grown, netted me quite a bit of money. And I used the baseball field and drive inn too.

New map for sure, I mean I love Sosnovka, beautiful map, but I agree they should have given us more map choices, and at least two new ones.

A way to select between console play and PC play because the console thing is ruining the ability of modders, and future modders, or at the very least, seriously restricting it. You have years of hard work, and devotion by a huge community of modders form FS11, and on through FS15 being trashed, because we can no longer use scripts because console makers don't allow them. Well freaking duh! It the scripts that make the mods! This is not the fault of the majority of console player, they just want to be able to use mods, and they should, but realize that because the makers of said consoles don't want you to have mods, it's a real problem for us that want to mod. And it's mainly because it's too much trouble, and affects their bottom line. This would effect multiplayer, but then again, that can be worked out. Basically, if you want to play multiplayer, everything has to be the same in every bodies game, this is understandable. In Battlefield, that's how it was done, any alterations to original sanctioned maps and it want allow you to join, and no one had a problem with this. We also had servers that ran custom, and modified map, usually in COOP mode (humans with bots) where you turned off you punk buster and whatever else, and had a freaking blast!! All your maps still had to be the same, but with Battlefield 1942, and Battlefield Vietnam, we could run server side mods to where all that had to be the on your maps were the static objects, everything else was changed on the server copy.

Beastofwar mentioned a more enhanced train system, someone besides me understands the economic purpose of the trains, and I agree, but on a larger map, as has been discussed in some other threads, and I would just work better. I've downloaded a blank 4x4 map (4096x4096 pixels instead of 2048x2048 like Goldcrest) and have started looking into some ideas I have for train systems. Giants is going to have to do some serious work with their editor for this to be possible because not only is it presently full of bugs, their is no way see at present to make a different rail system because you need various different kind of pieces to connect to make one. I would also like to be driving the train for hire to deliver goods for farmers a paying situation, like a regular mission. Though it's fun, I often don't have the time to run the train around the tracks and get all I need done in a day. I'm also thinking an extended silo system to where you rent storage space.

I could add more but this is already turning into a short story as it is. I'll wait for more post to see if anyone gives me the idea for a novel.

Good day!
