Re: Is silage too profitable?
They "feel" unbalanced/artificially high value compared to arable crops eg wheat, barley etc but bear in mind, there's 5-7 steps involved: Mowing Windrowing Baling Wrapping Gathering, storing, taking to market and if you play over a longer time frame, also factor in that you'll wear out tr...

Re: FS24
* actual, proper, animal 'mechanics'. For example, if you put 10 sheep in a pen, there shouldn't magically appear 10 more in a few months time. Males and females need to be coded in so they breed or don't breed according to actual reality. And, if you open a gate, they should be able to escape....o...

Re: FS24
For me, the 2 main features which let the current game down and need overhaul are: * field 'texture' angles (whatever they're called), eg if you plough an irregular field, it "snaps" to 0deg, 22deg, 45deg or whatever. It ought to be showed as it was ploughed. I appreciate its a bunch more ...

Re: Contracts
It will credit the bales (or whatever grain you are harvesting in the case of other contract types) against whichever contract it feels like, usually the one you don't want it to. I personally never take more than one of each type of contract (or at least ones that use the same sell point) for exac...

Re: Court Farms - underwhelmed.
I have started on this map and I'm loving it! The interesting thing is, the future prosperity/success of your farming isn't linked to bigger and bigger equipment, but with right-sizing the equipment for the environment. So, no 400hp tractors, massive combine headers or big balers. Its about having a...

Re: what prevent GIANTS work on maps?
There's nothing preventing them do it but they probably have accountants and planners who know how much profit a standalone map would bring, vs the resources required; and profit/spend on other aspects. So they choose the most profitable route. I dare say, a lot of their effort is also focused on th...

Re: Seeder?
Refill not when its empty, but when you have done the previous row and there's not enough to do another row. Because you want to be reseeding on the headlands, not the middle of a field (for realism). Also if you're passing by your own farmhouse, or the shop, and you know you will need it, could do ...

Re: Train
Its pretty easy to work out. Calculate the price difference of the product your selling x the quantity. And also make an allowance for your time and the tractor weat & tear (and diesel) for lugging the product to some other sell point.

Re: Why is the AI so unbelievably bad?
They promised in the blog post before the release that they will continue to work on ai during fs22 life cycle. The promise was a blatant and flat out lie it seems. Ai did not have any improvements after the release nor they do intend to make any improvements. But hey its gamble timeeee preorder th...

if you look on the map what does it say? Was it cultivated before you sowed the seeds or planted it?
