Re: Patchwork of withered crops.....?

OK, Thanks. I'd never heard of patchy crop failure, so I've learnt something new today. It's a bit random and unrealistic though. I don't suppose theres a way to disable this feature is there? I drill at the correct times and keep an eye on the ground temps, so not entirely sure why it should be so ...

Patchwork of withered crops.....?

I've been running seasons on Ravenport FS19 for ages, it's still my favourite map and platform, but over the last few rotations I see an increasing number of dead areas within the fields, usually withered blocks, but often ungerminated areas or sections that come up as already harvested. Seems to be...

Greenhills Estate map crashing

For me, one of the most enjoyable aspects of Farming Simulator is creating a farm yard from scratch. I can never find a base game yard that feels like my own, so I love Greenhills Estate because all you get is a flat area where you have to build your own yard! Perfect....... I thought, but to get th...

Re: US versions of equipment?

Most of the combines have US spec variations. They all tend to have Dual Wheel options and I've never seen a combine running Duals in Europe.

If you use presicion farming the soybeans doesn't need fertilizer.
Good to know, I will try that mod on my next map, thanks

Re: P&K fertilizer instead of just nitrogen

I work for a living at a co-op spreading fertilizer. It bothers me that we literally only spread urea(nitrogen) on all of the crops in the game. Soybeans require potash, dap and cal-sul. Alfalfa requires similar as well. Grass requires a blend of urea and potash sometimes. The fertilizer isn't quit...

Re: Petition for rain/ground moisture to effect yield

I guess lots of people like to be penalized in life. Explain how this makes the game better? To me this would require map makers to modify the weather variables or mod makers to create more sprinkler systems, adding yet another step in the process of farming. How far are we taking it. Too muddy to ...

Re: Petition for rain/ground moisture to effect yield

As a farmer myself I fully agree with you. Just a 10% yield loss due to no rain or a 10% bonus the other way... Then using a pivot would actually be worthwhile. I get where you are coming from, but the development time to make it work would not enhance the game enough to justify it in my view. Just...

Re: Petition for rain/ground moisture to effect yield

OK, this is just my own point of view, but as an ex farmer who has (on many occasions) been driven to tears by weather ruining crops, the one thing that I truly enjoy is a simulator that takes away the negative aspects of real farming and allows me to enjoy what I love doing. In real life, I watched...

Re: Grass not turning to hay.

I tend to agree with the brief overnight rain theory. I would also add to keep an eye on the moisture. If I remember correctly if the conditions aren’t right during the day you can lose the progress you made during the day overnight. This happened to me in the spring and on a cutting of probably ar...

Re: Grass not turning to hay.

I’ve had my dry grass when cut In October never turn to hay because the conditions required never occurred, annoying but that was the challenge of seasons, something I really miss in fs22 I've actually gone back to FS19 as it suits me better in terms of getting the realism right. I'm just trying to...
